The January/February issue of Migrant Health Newsline (Volume 24, #1) is devoted to health literacy.  The lead article offers a concise overview of the problem and summarizes important ways providers and others can recognize and assist patients with low health literacy.  Another article discusses how to create written materials for such patients and a third provides a number of online and written resources on how one can help improve the level of health literacy in one's patients.  The issue is available online.
